Valentines Day Dinner!! :)

Just look at that cute little couple!! :) I just love them!!
So, as you all know, we did not end up going to Bear Lake, which was a bit of a dissapointment, but we made the best of it!! So, Me and Aly (well, mom brought it up!!) decided to make mom and dad a valentines dinner!! We went up in my room with our little clipboards all set to plan what we were going to do and make. So after a long time, we finally decided on some things to make, we planned to make spaghetti and meatballs, cake, jello, and ice cream (I know, they all go together so well!! lol) Anyways, it was hectic!! Let's just say, I DO NOT KNOW how moms cook and never burn things!!!! I know this is going to just crack you guys up: Me and aly burned everything except for the Jello!! LOL!!!! So here is the first burning story: So, I started to bake the cake (in a cute little heart mold....HOW CUTE!!) I set the timer, and pretty soon it was done (ok, in this case PRETTY SHORT means 35 minutes!!) , and aly took it out and set it on the burner. It just turns out that Aly forgot to turn off the burner from her previous cooking of the noodles!! OH NO!! Pretty soon, we smell this TERRIBLE smell of burning, and Aly is like "OH MY GOSH!! IT IS BURNING"!! (Like we couldn't already have figured that out by the sizzling noise and smoke burrowing up from the middle of the pan!!)So, after that, we decided to cut off the burned part, and then we taste tested it and it tasted fine!! So, we frosted it and it was perfectly normal looking!! Next, Aly burns the meatballs. So, we end up cutting off the bottoms(They are charcoal black might i add) of all of the meatballs!!!!!
Anyway, in spite of all that, it was still a really fun night!! While they were eating a candle lit dinner, me and the sibs went upstairs to watch a movie!! It was fun on both parts!! :)
